| The life of Evelyn Wang, a Chinese American, is not full of highlights. She has a husband, a daughter, her own laundromat - plenty for someone who is far from home. But when one day it is necessary to prepare a Chinese New Year party, deal with commercial receipts and debts, and talk with a loved one about the state of their marriage, the main character loses herself.
After losing herself in the real world, she opens up the multiverse. Worlds in which her fate is sometimes different from the one chosen earlier. Moving through the worlds and fighting with the agent of chaos, Evelyn changes her attitude towards her husband, and the generation gap between parents and daughter seeks to be filled with understanding and compassion. After all, a mother gave a lot so that her child would receive what she was deprived of. But the daughter needed something completely different, and only by looking at her life from the outside, she managed to understand the true meaning of the fleeting moments of love and friendship. |
